About

Hey, we’re Sissy & Amanda. Two moms from opposite Canadian coasts who had a big dream to create a unique Canadian parenting event that both celebrated community and helped share that vital parenting information that is sometimes hard to find on the wild road through child raising.

As active babywearers, we came into our own parenthoods supported through online communities. We wanted to provide parents with an opportunity to seek out their communities and strengthen their friendships in person, while learning more about parenting and navigating parenthood.

Our goal remains to create a community event where information, real information – not just the good fun glowing stuff - but the hard stuff too – can be shared in a safe and supportive space. Where parents can learn not only about babywearing, but about self-care, body positivity, intergenerational trauma, neurodiversity, maternal mental health, loss, and much more.  Where we recognize that our journeys and experiences are all different, and where we collectively try harder to make our spaces safer for all parents.

4 years later, our little not-for-profit and a dynamic team of volunteers has pulled together 3 conference events, with a community following that spans parents from across Canada and the Globe.

We are honored to have been a part of growing Up, which remains one of the only workshop + parenting focused events within Canada, supporting parents as they navigate raising children.

If you’re a parent looking for more information on our events, or how to join us as a volunteer or speaker, we encourage you to follow us on Instagram and Facebook where we share the latest updates. If you're business and you're interested in exploring partnership opportunities with us, collaborating on giveaways, or joining us as a vendor, please visit our partnering page.

We look forward to meeting you,

Amanda & Sissy
